Research Geophysicist
Alfonso Benavides is the Manager of R&D at Advanced Geosciences. A physicist and PhD in geophysics from Texas A&M University, with more than 25 years of experience in education, research, and consulting for near-surface exploration and oil and gas project evaluations. He has participated in developing online graduate programs, project management, and UG/PG research supervision that includes both hardware and software development. Alfonso is passionate about effective learning and collaborates closely with students to help them excel in their careers. He is also committed to developing educational tools that spearhead student learning and foster a deeper understanding of geophysics.
